Jon Thomas Hunter has over thirty years of experience as an attorney. He concentrates his practice in estate planning, wealth transfer planning, taxation, probate and small business planning serving clients on all islands.

A former Internal Revenue Service Estate & Gift Tax Attorney, Jon is admitted to the State Bar of Connecticut, Massachusetts, California and Hawaii.

He is the Editor-in-Chief of The Hawaii State Tax Reporter, and a founding contributor to "It's the Law: What Nonprofits Need to Know" published by the Hawaii Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

In addition to his estate planning and tax practice serving both individuals and families throughout the state, Jon is retained as legal counsel to the fundraising efforts of both Hawaii and Mainland charitable organizations. Representative clients include The Honolulu Academy of Arts, East-West Center Foundation, Kapiolani Health Care Foundation, The National Tropical Botanical Garden, University of Hawaii Foundation and many other not-for-profit organizations.

Mr. Hunter lectures frequently on tax related topics.
